Well....here I am sitting at my computer booking hotels on priceline and calling everyone on our Sirva team to tell them of our new adventures.
Just as I was laying down in bed at 10:30 PM to get a bit of sleep before getting up at 3AM to go to the airport....my cell phone rang. When I picked it up I heard an automated voice saying "this is United Airlines calling to let you know that your flight has been cancelled". I couldn't believe it....I got on the phone right away with United and sure enough, our 6AM flight to Denver had been cancelled due to weather.
We quickly got into problem solving mode and then they told me....great news sir, we have successfully booked you on a another flight at the same time to get you to your connecting flight in Denver....I sighed with big relief....
Well...after I hung up the phone and was ready to head off again to bed....my phone again rang..."sir, we're sorry but we made an error, and the flight you are now on is actually at 11:10 AM....but now you won't make your connection...."
So....after much searching....and more searching...we finally found an alternative to get there! We are now flying to Denver at 11:10 AM and we will be spending the night there. Our luggage will arrive in San Antonio and the boys will spend their night there. We will then fly to San Antonio on Sunday morning and hopefully arrive into Mexico sometime early Sunday evening.
Alright...there's the update...now I'm going to bed as it is quickly approaching 2AM.
