Quick update

Wow...we have had a full couple of days. Yesterday we had a chance to
attend church which was a wonderful experience once again. We also
met up with Dana and Andrew Willms and family and had a great visit.
They came to church and had lunch and got a tour of Casa Hogar.
Thanks guys for making the trip!

We had an incredibly meaningful time with the kids and with Casa Hogar
Sunday night. We threw a huge party with BBQd hot dogs and tres
leches pastel (cake like you've never tasted before). We had a chance
to bless Cecy and Modesto and give them a gift with enough money to
get home to Nicaragua to visit their family. They were speechless.

Our connection with the kids and the caregivers felt like it was so
deep....goodbyes were hard....and we left with a feeling of
satisfaction that we had finished the jobs we set out to do....we
worked incredibly hard.

Sorry this blog is short....we have had no time to update in the past
day....right now we are about to leave to cross the border....a more
in depth blog will follow. Pray for our border crossing which will be
around noon.

Thanks....here's a few pictures I couldn't resist posting.

Hey Team...

WAY TO GO! Way to give your lives away! We just wrapped up our first BIG weekend of the year with our Parenting Conference and launch of the Flip This Family series. It was a great weekend...and we took some time to pray for your safe return.

Can't wait to see you all this week...hear more stories...see more pics and celebrate the good work you have done in Christ's name.

Safe travels home.

- Todd

Here you are on your way home, and I'm only posting a comment now ... but have wanted so much to do so. It was a crazy busy week preparing for the Parenting Conference. It was a success and I believe families were impacted by the ministry of Steve and Valerie Bell.

Shelly and Colleen, you would have been proud of your husbands and kids for winning the Game Show at the conference. The highlight was when the kids were asked "What do you want for Christmas?" and the parents had to match their kid's answer without knowing ahead of time what their child had written -Andrew answered "a bow-tie" and John got it right!

Vionna, Maxine, Spencer and Taylor - we have missed you in KidZone but think it's so awesome that you are sharing God' love with kids @ Casa Hogar. Way to Go!

It's been great reading the comments and looking at the pictures of all your hard work and your fun moments. Know that we are so proud of you all for taking the time to give so sacrificially to the disadvangtaged and needy children of our world. Can't wait to hear more about your trip. Have a fun night in San Antonio!
